On Monday, U.S. agents from the Department of Homeland Security raided a property connected to music entrepreneur Sean “Diddy” Combs in the Holmby Hills suburb of Los Angeles.
Several SWAT trucks and agents wearing bulletproof vests were seen entering and exiting the house in the 200 block of South Mapleton Drive during the raid, which was captured on camera by Sky5. Just outside the house, other individuals who looked to be at least momentarily detained were being questioned by federal investigators.
The rapper’s houses in Miami and Los Angeles were searched this afternoon, according to sources from the gossip website TMZ. Although there have been rumors linking the raids to accusations of sex trafficking against Combs, federal law enforcement officials have not confirmed this.
Officials from Homeland Security Investigations gave ETWorlds the following statement in response to a request for comment:
With support from HSI Miami, HSI Los Angeles, and our regional law enforcement partners, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) New York carried out law enforcement operations earlier today as part of an ongoing investigation. When more information becomes available, we will provide it.
Local police enforcement, agents from the department’s Miami and Los Angeles bureaus, and representatives from HSI New York were also present at the scene.
Reporters were given the following statement by the lawyer for singer Cassie Ventura, who has accused Combs of rape, physical abuse, and pressuring her to have sex with other men before coming to a settlement a day after filing her lawsuit:
Attorney Douglas Wigdor declared, “We will always support law enforcement when it seeks to prosecute those that have violated the law.” “Perhaps this marks the start of a procedure that will hold Mr. Combs accountable for his reprehensible behavior.”
The legal team thinks it’s obvious that federal officials are searching for proof of criminal activity.
P. Diddy, for instance, has been charged with sex trafficking. In addition, he has been charged with nonconsensual pornography. According to her explanation, the authorities would have carried out the search warrant in order to obtain any kind of proof that a crime has been done and that he is the one who committed it.
Triessl went on to say that the search warrant was executed in a very well-organized manner and that holding everyone inside the residence until the search is finished is regular procedure.
Ryan Mendelsohn, a nearby resident of the Holmby Hills estate, told reporters that he frequently saw black SUVs, Uber drivers, and other cars outside the house late at night, but he never gave it any consideration.
“Obviously, after this was revealed, everyone was like, “Wow, that’s crazy.” I was unaware of that,” he remarked. “At least twice a month, I’ve seen a celebration. I’ve saw a few girls—maybe four or five—get out of limos and enter the house, while others stood in the driveway outside. Since I never stayed outside his house for more than a few minutes at a time, I’ve never seen them go.
Documents revealed that Combs is not the owner of the house; rather, it is connected to his production firm. On the site was a Mercedes-Benz G Class, also called a “G-Wagon,” that belonged to Bad Boy Productions Inc.
