J. Cole is back. The “Might Delete Later” project, which the Dreamville chief dropped without any prior notice on Friday, April 5, shocked supporters. The album has twelve tracks and has contributions from a wide variety of musicians, such as Young Dro, Ari Lennox, Gucci Mane, Cam’ron, Bas, and Central Cee. “Might Delete Later” has a few tracks that Cole hinted to in his eponymous Vlogs, which detailed his adventures on Drake’s Big As the What? Tour earlier this year. In one of them, J.C. and Killa Cam can be heard rapping over the Dipset song “I’m Ready.”
Cole informs everyone that The Fall-Off is still coming this year to wrap up the project, suggesting that Might Delete Later is more of an appetizer for fans than an LP.
The project is a follow-up to Kendrick Lamar’s explosive debut in the rap business two weeks prior, when he destroyed Drake and J. Cole’s “Big 3” running mates with a guest verse on Future and Metro Boomin’s No. 1 song, “Like That,” from their We Don’t Trust You album.

2021 saw the release of J. Cole’s last album, The Off-Season, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and sold 282,000 equivalent album units in its first week, earning the North Carolina rapper his sixth No. 1 album.
The 39-year-old will have a busy weekend because this weekend (April 6 and April 7) is Dreamville Fest’s annual hosting.
Cole, SZA, Nicki Minaj, and Chris Brown are the headliners of the much awaited fourth edition of the festival. Lil Yachty, JID, Laxy Red, ScHoolboy Q, Teezo Touchdown, Jeezy, Monica, Rae Sremmurd, Key Glock, Jeremih, Lul Tyler, Muni Long, and more are among the other performers.
