Vikrant Massey’s ‘The Sabarmati Report’ on 2002 Godhra incident to release on May 3

Actor Vikrant Massey recently unveiled the teaser for his upcoming film titled ‘The Sabarmati Report’. This highly anticipated movie delves into the tragic events surrounding the Sabarmati Express burning incident that occurred in Godhra, Gujarat, back in 2002. Basking in the success of his recent film ’12th Fail’, Vikrant Massey gears up for his next cinematic venture. Entitled ‘The Sabarmati Report’, the film revisits the tragic burning of the Sabarmati Express in Gujarat’s Godhra precisely 22 years ago, on February 22, 2002.

Massey took to social media to unveil the film with a captivating short video. In the teaser, he embodies the character of Shraban Kumar, a journalist delivering the news of the Godhra incident. As the teleprompter suggests it was an accident, his portrayal captures a moment of doubt followed by a resolute assertion that it was no accident at all. Massey’s portrayal hints at the intense narrative and gripping exploration that awaits audiences in ‘The Sabarmati Report’.

Sharing the teaser, he wrote, “Paying homage to the 59 innocent people who lost their lives in the Godhra train burning incident 22 years ago, today. Presenting ‘The Sabarmati Report’, in cinemas on 3rd May, 2024

‘The Sabarmati Report’ will also feature Raashii Khanna and Ridhi Dogra, apart from Massey. Directed by Ranjan Chandel and produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Amul V Mohan and Anshul Mohan, the film will be hitting the screens on May 3.
